NATURAL GARDEN RED SOIL

Soil is an important natural resource that requires attention due to its role in corp yield and many research has been going on soil health, particularly its water retention capability, moisture content, salinity, temperature, pH, concentration of dissolved gases, etc.

Technologies have evolved that can remotely monitor soil and track its various parameters without being physically present in the field.

Red soil got its name because of its color,it is porous and has a high percentage of iron oxide. It is loose and aerated and poor in terms of quantity of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and organic matter,It is not fertile, but it does respond to fertilizers, It needs irrigation support if it is to be cultivate,It contains soluble salts in small quantities.

Most of the red soils have come into existence due to weathering of ancient crystalline igneous rocks this soil is formed like other soils are formed but soil develops a reddish color due to a wide diffusion of iron in crystalline and metamorphic rocks.

In oxidizing conditions, rust or iron oxide develops in the clay, when the soil is present above the water table giving the soil a characteristic red color. They are fairly rich in potash and potassium.

The red soils, with the proper use of fertilizers and irrigation techniques, give good yield of cotton, wheat, rice, pulses, millets, tobacco, oil seeds, potatoes and fruits.

Reddish colors indicate good drainage and aeration of the soil, allowing the existence of oxidizing conditions to form oxides.

Red soils denote the second largest soil group of India covering an area of about 6.1 lakhs sq. km,.The red soil is found in regions such as Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, some parts of Karnataka and southeast Maharashtra.

Rich in iron-aluminum (hydr)oxides with strong fixation capacity of phosphate, low pH and organic matter content, and poor nutrient availability are the main yield-limiting factors for the red soils.

According to the results of the second national soil census data, the fertility of major red soils was moderate.Buy Red soil from GardenerShopping for the best corp yield.
